Description

The team is based in Getafe and sits within the company's Data Management and AI unit, in its Data Integration group. The role is a permanent, professional-level position.

You will design the data solutions that link sources from any existing repository or information system across the company. Designs must follow Enterprise Architecture standards and compliance and regulatory rules.

You will work with a mixed group of data engineers, DataOps engineers and other data architects, across both classic and agile project methods. Your job is to help projects choose the right data pattern for connecting data in a standard, sustainable way.

You will also help the head of the function, together with other Data Integration solution architects, shape the strategy for a new Data Integration and Interoperability layer across the company, aimed at speeding up AI adoption.

The work moves data inside the company and to and from outside partners, customers and governments.

Responsibilities

  • Define the solution architecture for each Data Integration request, once the product owner has shared the functional and technical needs of a new use case.
  • Keep the Data Integration architecture sustainable by using standard patterns, building blocks and artifacts for each Data Integration product.
  • Ensure the Data Integration and Interoperability architecture performs at the expected level, working closely with the service roles.
  • Give the DevOps tool owner and operations managers guidance on architecture configurations.
  • Make sure every new Data Integration project or request meets the company's security standards.
  • Help manage vulnerabilities, working closely with data security engineers and other digital security owners.
  • Follow how Data Integration products evolve and advise the PSL leader on the product portfolio strategy.
  • Track major upgrades to Data Integration products and advise the service team on how to apply them.
  • Keep the SABBs and SBBs for Data Integration products current, in line with all use cases the platforms support, working with domain and enterprise data architects.
  • Write DevOps architecture guidelines, DataOps golden rules and their methodology, and Data Integration architecture metrics, performance KPIs and a capacity roadmap.
  • Keep the security standards in the SABBs and SBBs up to date, and make sure security products in the Data Integration landscape are configured to match standards and Enterprise Architecture guidance.
  • Share security white papers with key stakeholders and keep vulnerabilities under control with data security engineers and security teams.

Requirements

  • A university degree in an IT-related field.
  • Negotiation-level English and French.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • An existing security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one, is mandatory.
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Integration solution architect, preferably in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Deep knowledge of event-driven networks, service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices patterns.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience building data pipelines on enterprise integration platforms such as middleware, ETL, ELT and API platforms.
  • More than 3 years of hands-on experience building and securing REST, SOAP and GraphQL interfaces.
  • Experience enforcing data masking, tokenization and end-to-end encryption.
  • Deep knowledge of PKI management and of IAM for secure pipelines, including OAuth, IAM roles and Active Directory.
  • Experience applying strict GDPR, CCPA and HIPAA compliance rules.
  • Experience writing technical and support documentation, and turning business needs into reports and models.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methods and tools; some hands-on experience would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of IT project management, both waterfall and agile.
  • Basic experience with IT service management principles.

Conditions

Hybrid working is offered where possible to support work-life balance.

You must meet all legal and professional requirements for the role.

You must be aware of potential compliance risks and act with integrity.

The company welcomes applications regardless of background, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religious belief.

Benefits

  • 35+ working days off in total, including vacation and extra days off across the year.
  • An attractive salary and compensation package.
  • Company transport in some locations.
  • Health insurance, employee stock options, a retirement plan and study grants.
  • On-site facilities such as a free canteen, a kindergarten and a medical office.
  • Opportunities to join social and corporate responsibility initiatives.
