The company is a global edge-to-cloud business that helps other organizations connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, from the edge to the cloud.
This role leads the extension of the company's marketplace commerce into markets outside the United States. You will turn each country's rules on regulation, tax, payments, identity, privacy, trade compliance, contracts, localization and operations into one repeatable market-entry program.
You will coordinate staged launches in selected countries, keeping the customer and seller experience consistent while adapting the operating model to local needs. The work involves Legal, Tax, Finance, Treasury, Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Partner Management and outside providers.
Responsibilities
Own the full geographic expansion roadmap, covering market priorities, business cases, launch order, go-live criteria, dependencies, resourcing and executive decisions.
Build a reusable country-readiness framework for marketplace rules, merchant-of-record setup, payment flows, indirect tax, invoicing, customer and seller identity checks, data protection, export controls, contracting and local operating requirements.
Run cross-functional workstreams with Legal, Tax, Finance, Treasury, Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Partner Management, Customer Support and regional teams.
Assess how attractive and complex each market is, and recommend launch waves based on customer demand, partner readiness, regulatory feasibility, cost, operational effort and time to value.
Turn guidance from outside counsel and subject-matter experts into clear business requirements, control frameworks, decision logs and executable plans.
Specify requirements for local currency, foreign exchange, tax calculation and remittance, invoicing, refunds, chargebacks, seller payouts, reconciliation, revenue recognition and financial reporting.
Work with product and engineering teams on customer identity, purchase eligibility, localization, data integration and country-specific platform capabilities.
Coordinate readiness for customers, independent software vendors and channel partners, including onboarding, contracting, communications, training, support and operational handoffs.
Produce integrated plans, RACIs, risk registers, dependency maps, budgets and executive dashboards. Remove blockers early and escalate decisions when needed.
Set launch and post-launch KPIs, run readiness reviews and retrospectives, and turn lessons learned into playbooks for later markets.
Act as the single point of accountability for expansion status, risks, trade-offs and outcomes, from working teams up to executives.
Deliver a prioritized, multi-phase country strategy and launch roadmap, country scorecards, market-entry recommendations, approved business cases, a documented operating model and governance structure, a cross-functional RACI, country-specific requirements with owners and milestones, executive reporting on schedule, budget, risks, decisions and business impact, and a reusable launch playbook.
