The role is for a lead BIOS developer who owns BIOS/UEFI development and platform integration on complex hardware programs, guiding firmware features through debug, performance work and readiness for validation, manufacturing and customer delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead BIOS/UEFI firmware development, subsystem enablement and integration across one or more product platforms.
  • Set the implementation approach for BIOS features so they fit the platform architecture, system requirements and release plans.
  • Lead the investigation and fixing of complex firmware and system problems found during bring-up, validation or customer escalations.
  • Lead readiness for BIOS validation, along with tuning and optimization to improve stability, functionality and performance.
  • Work with electrical, BMC, systems, validation and other engineering teams to resolve issues that cross domains and to agree on release decisions.
  • Oversee firmware quality, including issue tracking, regression coverage, support for code reviews and disciplined releases.
  • Coach junior engineers and help build shared methods, reusable code and technical skills across the firmware team.
  • Communicate technical direction, trade-offs, milestone status and open risks clearly to leadership and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or a related technical field. A master's degree is preferred.

  • Experience with x86-based compute platforms in servers, storage or networking is required.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional problem solving involving firmware, hardware and validation teams.
