Finance Data Analyst (Manufacturing)

Description

The company is a contract manufacturing partner offering engineering, supply chain and manufacturing services to large brands, with 60 years in the industry and over 100 sites worldwide.

The team is hiring a Finance Data Analyst to support financial planning, analysis and reporting by managing financial data and turning it into insights that inform strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clean and check large volumes of financial data from systems such as SAP, other ERP platforms and data warehouses.
• Build and maintain financial models, dashboards and reports in Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Carry out detailed financial analysis, including variance and trend analysis, forecasting and budget support.
• Find ways to automate and streamline how financial data is collected, analyzed and reported.
• Work with finance, accounting and other cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide useful insights.
• Help prepare presentations and reports for senior management that highlight key financial performance indicators and strategic recommendations.
• Keep financial data accurate, consistent and reliable across all reporting and analysis.
• Help build and roll out new financial systems and tools when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics or a related quantitative field, or an equivalent mix of education, experience and/or training.
• 2+ years in a financial analyst, data analyst or similar role, ideally at a large manufacturing or technology company.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and an understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Advanced Excel skills, including functions, pivot tables and VBA (preferred).
• Strong experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik Sense.
• Solid grasp of financial principles, accounting concepts and financial reporting.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze large, complex datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to present complex data concisely to varied audiences.
• SQL skills are a plus.

Conditions

This role is on-site at the Salt Lake City, UT / Grantsville facility.
