Lab Test Mean Lead Engineer (M/F)

Description

The company's commercial aircraft business is hiring a Lab Test Mean Lead Engineer in Toulouse, France, for its Lab Test Means Design and Realization department.

The team builds ground-based simulators and test benches used to validate advanced aircraft systems.

Toulouse is known as a global hub for aeronautics and a European centre for space research. It lies in southwest France, between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, near the Pyrenees, and has an international airport.

Responsibilities

• Be the main technical contact for all engineering questions within your assigned Lab Test Means scope.
• Estimate costs, set schedule baselines and assess feasibility for planned test rig upgrades.
• Oversee the carrying out and checking of all hardware, software and architecture changes on rigs.
• Lead complex level-2 troubleshooting for hardware and software faults.
• Act as the entry point for integrating simulation models and handle all rig safety compliance matters.

Requirements

• Proven experience in test mean architecture, aircraft systems engineering or hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
• Broad knowledge across several systems, including wiring, electrical and electronics, and software integration.
• Practical skill in structured hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with VCOM tools is a plus.
• Track record of technical coordination and small project management, including planning and estimating.
• Fluent French is required, along with good technical English.
