Responsibilities

  • Supervise survey technicians, installers and subcontractor personnel on site.
  • Manage the full wireless lifecycle: predictive design, active and passive surveys, validation surveys, installation, configuration, tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Make sure designs and installs follow DoW, Air Force, Space Force and industry standards, including TIA/EIA, UFC, I3A, DoW Wi-Fi security rules and vendor best practices.

  • Inspect installed access points, cabling, labels, mounts and wireless configurations.
  • Keep accurate records: RF designs, survey reports, as-built drawings, configuration files and post-install validation.
  • Help troubleshoot and find root causes of wireless performance, coverage, security and spectrum problems.
  • Coordinate with base communications, cybersecurity staff and government stakeholders on design and deployment needs.
  • Write status reports, contribute to briefings and take part in weekly project meetings and stakeholder sessions.

  • Preferred: DoW or AF/SF network modernization experience.
  • Preferred: direct experience with Cisco or Aruba/HPE wireless infrastructure.
