Integration Solution Architect

Description

The company is NN Digital Hub, a subsidiary of the company based in Madrid, Spain, delivering IT services and solutions to the group's international business units.

The role turns business needs into clear integration requirements and end-to-end designs. You connect consumers, providers and platform teams, make the most of existing enterprise capabilities and APIs, and produce the architecture artefacts needed to onboard countries in a consistent and secure way.

You join a multidisciplinary integration and API community that spans business units, countries and shared platforms. Your main partners are business and product owners, country technology teams, API consumers and providers, platform engineering, security, data and delivery teams.

You are a Cloud Solution Architect working alongside the Tech Lead on the CORE solution.

Responsibilities

• Work with business owners, product owners and delivery teams to turn needs into integration requirements covering outcomes, data, events, service levels, security and operational limits.
• Find reusable capabilities and APIs across the enterprise, favour reuse over new builds, and record gaps that need enhancement or new investment.
• Map the owners, contracts, dependencies, data responsibilities, volumes, availability, versioning and lifecycle of each consumer and provider.
• Design end-to-end integrations covering process orchestration, APIs, events, data flows, error handling, observability, security, connectivity and non-functional requirements.
• Choose integration patterns (synchronous REST, asynchronous messaging, event-driven, batch or file exchange) according to business criticality and technical constraints.
• Produce version-controlled architecture patterns and sequence diagrams that delivery, platform and governance teams can review and build from.
• Specify API and event contracts: interfaces, schemas, authentication and authorization, idempotency, error models, retries, timeouts, correlation and compatibility.
• Resolve cross-team dependencies early and prevent fragmented or duplicate solutions between consumers, providers and platform teams.
• Support country onboarding by comparing local needs with shared capabilities, defining onboarding designs, flagging gaps and guiding teams to implementation and readiness.
• Break designs into enablers and backlog items, answer implementation questions and clear architecture blockers during refinement and delivery.
• Ensure solutions are secure and operable through correct use of API gateways, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, encryption, certificates, monitoring, logging and platform guardrails.
• Take solutions to production, supporting testing, cutover, hardening and continuous improvement based on feedback and measured outcomes.

Requirements

• Senior solution architect with a strong integration background who can move from business conversations to precise requirements, contracts, patterns and sequence diagrams while keeping the full consumer-to-provider path in view.
• Able to facilitate and align stakeholders, with enough technical depth to challenge designs, guide delivery teams and make pragmatic decisions within enterprise guardrails.
• Experience leading requirements discovery and turning business needs into architecture decisions and delivery-ready artefacts.
• Experience designing end-to-end integrations across multiple systems, teams, domains or countries.
• Experience analysing API and event consumers and providers, including ownership, contracts, dependencies and non-functional requirements.
• Experience finding and assessing reusable capabilities and APIs, with a reuse-first approach and clear gap analysis.
• Experience creating integration patterns, context views, data-flow views and sequence diagrams that are easy to build and govern.
• Experience supporting backlog refinement, country onboarding, technical decisions and production readiness.
