Description

The company develops power conversion solutions and needs a Global Product Manager to lead strategy and vision for the control and automation product line within its power conversion portfolio.

The role blends technical depth with product management: you will set and maintain the roadmap, look after the product lifecycle, and build business cases to support growth.

You will work across energy storage, renewable integration and newer technologies, keeping the product line aligned with grid codes, cybersecurity standards and operational technology best practices.

You are expected to be a recognised voice on the topic, shaping future direction and representing the company at technical forums and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and keep up the global roadmap for the control and automation line in the power conversion portfolio.
  • Find market growth opportunities by gathering, checking and defining requirements for control and automation solutions across customer segments.
  • Prepare business cases for new products and upgrades that match market trends and customer needs.
  • Turn market and customer requirements into clear specifications for the R&D team, drawing on your control and automation expertise.
  • Make sure products meet international grid codes, cybersecurity requirements and OT operating standards.
  • Represent the company at technical forums and conferences, join customer meetings, and help define solution requirements.
  • Work toward goals with internal business units, functions, end customers and development teams, explaining topics clearly to people from different technical backgrounds.
  • Act on the core values of safety and integrity: own your actions and look after colleagues and the business.

Requirements

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with power conversion systems, electrical grid automation and solution development in renewable energy or battery energy storage.
  • Knowledge of power systems and LV, MV and HV equipment, including switchgear and generation equipment.
  • Understanding of power system simulation models and how they affect grid code compliance.
  • Familiarity with RTUs, protocol gateways, SCADA, PLCs and plant networking.
  • Strong grasp of control systems, plant automation, grid code compliance and OT cybersecurity.
  • Proven track record in developing product strategies, roadmaps and business cases.
  • Personable, proactive and professional, with a firm commitment to excellent customer care and service.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, including delivering keynote talks in customer workshops and training sessions.
  • Ability to collaborate across global teams and travel internationally for about 20% of the time.
