Senior Technical Project Manager/Project Engineer

Description

The company works on railway systems, and this role sits within its wayside railway signalling work, covering both conventional signalling and ERTMS.

You will lead a senior technical project, managing delivery work packages and development packages for the signalling project.

Responsibilities

• Plan and communicate an operational approach for an engineering project from start to finish, covering design, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transport, installation, testing and commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities and equipment.
• Track progress and performance against the project plan, and act quickly to fix operational problems and limit delays.
• Identify and secure the resources the project needs.
• Where needed, prepare engineering standards, designs and work specifications, build project schedules, budgets and forecasts, and choose materials, equipment, project staff and external contractors.
• Work under close supervision on problems that are usually straightforward, and explain relevant facts, policies and practices within your area.

Requirements

• A degree in electrical, electronic or computer engineering, information technology, or an equivalent technical background.
• 3 to 5 years of engineering experience.
• Fluent Swedish and English, which is mandatory.
