Description
The company is hiring a Global Head of Marketing Operations, Data and Technology, a Senior Vice President. The role owns the design and running of marketing's end-to-end operating model at a large, regulated financial institution.
The leader will connect marketing's campaigns, client experiences, content and spending through one efficient, controlled system, and turn that system into measurable business results.
The role needs someone who can set a direction three years out and also run the quarterly work that delivers it. Strong technical depth is expected, along with a habit of doing more with fewer resources through better process, tools and people.
The leader sits on the Marketing Leadership Team and reports into the CMO's group.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee marketing's operating model, linking strategy, technology, data, process and people into one coherent system.
- Build the enterprise roadmap for marketing maturity, sequencing technology and operations investment against real business priorities with the marketing partners.
- Turn broad goals into concrete plans, milestones and named owners, and run the program discipline behind them.
- Find efficiencies through process design, tooling and AI rather than adding cost.
- Set the global marketing technology strategy and roadmap, and keep the platforms, tools and workflows integrated, scalable and aligned to priorities.
- Lead the strategy, governance and adoption of AI across Marketing to improve productivity, execution, personalization and impact.
- Drive modernization of how Marketing works through automation, emerging technology and scalable operating models.
- Own the data architecture and measurement infrastructure so attribution, performance measurement and reporting work at enterprise scale.
- Define enterprise KPIs, dashboards and reporting frameworks that link marketing activity to business outcomes, working with the Analytics and Insights team under the Head of Digital Marketing Strategy and Channels.
- Keep the data foundation reliable, governed and scalable, while analysis stays with the Analytics and Insights team.
- Build a culture of accountability, experimentation and data-driven decisions across the function.
- Own web operations and digital publishing across the digital properties, making publishing reliable, scalable and efficient for marketers.
- Set the standards, workflows and platforms for how content is built, published, maintained and retired.
- Make publishing fast and agile while meeting the controls a large financial institution requires.
- Align publishing infrastructure with website strategy and digital experience priorities alongside the Head of Digital Marketing Strategy and Channels.
- Oversee marketing automation, CRM integration, workflow management and campaign operations.
- Ensure the infrastructure for audience engagement, lead management, measurement and reporting is effective, scalable and suited to an agile digital setup.
- Work across marketing teams to keep execution seamless and improving.
- Build the operational foundation and its controls so Marketing can execute consistently across the enterprise.
- Lead Marketing's business operations: budget planning, forecasting, resource allocation, financial management and organizational performance reporting.
- Oversee vendor and supplier strategy, procurement, contract governance and third-party partnerships for value, efficiency and impact.
- Set enterprise operating rhythms, planning processes, governance frameworks and performance management.
- Drive operational excellence across Marketing, including risk, compliance, controls, process improvement and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team that values innovation, accountability and collaboration.
- Advise the CMO and Marketing Leadership Team on operational effectiveness, technology investment, data strategy and organizational performance.
- Align people, processes, technology and data with the firm's strategic priorities.
Requirements
- At least 20 years in marketing operations, marketing technology, digital transformation, analytics, business management or a related field, with deep hands-on technical expertise rather than oversight alone.
- Significant experience running enterprise-scale marketing operations, technology and measurement functions, ideally in a global, regulated organization.
- Deep knowledge of marketing technology, automation, analytics, data governance, attribution, reporting and operational excellence.
- A record of operating as both a visionary and a disciplined operator, setting multi-year direction and running the quarterly mechanics.
- Experience leading complex transformations that combine technology, process redesign and organizational change, with a track record of efficiency under tight resources.
- Proven success implementing AI-enabled capabilities and scalable operating models.
- Strong grasp of the operational and regulatory controls needed to run an agile, efficient marketing ecosystem inside a large financial institution.
- Strong financial, operational and analytical skills, with experience managing budgets, vendors and business operations.
- Proven ability to lead global teams and influence senior stakeholders.
