Full-Stack Developer, Java and Angular, Vice President

Description

The team is hiring a Java full-stack engineer to design, build and support modern web applications.

The work covers Angular or React on the front end and Java with Spring Boot on the back end, built around API-first microservices and CI/CD delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications end to end, covering the UI, APIs and back-end services.
• Create secure, scalable microservices in Java using Spring Boot.
• Build responsive interfaces in Angular, using Kendo UI components where they fit.
• Apply micro front-end patterns such as composition, shared libraries and module federation or similar approaches.
• Design, document and consume REST APIs, keeping service contracts and versioning in line with the agreed strategy.
• Work with SQL Server, tuning queries, indexes and data access patterns.
• Build search and indexing solutions with Elasticsearch.
• Create event-driven integrations on Kafka, covering producers, consumers, topics and schema versioning.
• Use GitHub or Bitbucket and help build and improve CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deploy.
• Write unit and integration tests, take part in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in full-stack web application development.
• Strong back-end experience with Java and Spring Boot, including REST APIs, security, performance and scalability.
• Strong front-end experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS.
• Experience with UI component libraries such as Kendo UI.
• Working knowledge of micro front-end architecture and patterns.
• Solid grasp of API design and microservices, including service boundaries, resilience and basic observability.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server and relational data modeling.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and event streaming on Kafka.
• Proficiency with GitHub or Bitbucket workflows and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile team.
• Preferred: experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Preferred: containerization and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Preferred: experience with automated testing frameworks for unit, integration and UI testing.
• Preferred: exposure to observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing) and production support.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Based in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States.

Salary range is $142,320.00 - $213,480.00.
