Responsibilities

  • With the California Environmental Transportation Planning Manager and Regional Growth Lead, write a strategy for growing environmental planning work in the LA and Orange region, covering the best market opportunities such as funding streams, key clients, and trends, and a disciplined approach to growth.
  • Work with senior Southern California staff to map current clients and contract vehicles, then build engagement plans and growth strategies for them.

  • Work with other Southern California capture managers, client account managers, and project managers to keep the Salesforce pipeline current, track opportunities, support go/no-go decisions, shape proposal strategy, and identify staffing needs.
  • Act as the cross-business line environmental planning contact for the LA and Orange region.
  • Meet regularly with Transportation Business Line leaders to find ways for EPP staff to support current projects and prepare for upcoming ones.
  • Identify Transportation Business Line clients and contracts that could offer environmental planning work.
  • Lead strategic pursuits that span business lines, working with partners in other lines.
  • Coordinate collaboration across practices and business lines to build a winning team and technical approach during proposals and delivery.
  • Represent the EPP practice in the LA Metro+ organization and the LA Initiative.
  • Oversee contract management and deliver transportation environmental planning programs and projects across Southern California and the wider West Region.

  • Mentor mid-level environmental planning staff on transportation projects.
  • Help grow the team by recruiting environmental professionals for transportation and transit work, internally or externally.
  • Help create and carry out a recruitment plan that supports growth with key clients.
