Sign Up to ReadDoorDash’s mission is to grow and empower local economies. By building intelligent, last-mile delivery technology for local cities, DoorDash connects people with the local businesses they care about, helping grow businesses and the communities that support them. To further this mission, we’re looking for an experienced paid media operator to join our Consumer Marketing team at a pivotal time for DoorDash Ads and paid co-marketing.
The Cx Ads Paid team plans, launches and measures paid media campaigns with brand and CPG partners, working alongside Ads Integrated Marketing, Sales, Partnerships and our agency partners. The team is growing, and this person will help shape how paid marketing operates as it scales.
About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic, decisive paid marketing leader to own Co-Marketing Paid Media strategy and operations in the US as it pertains to supporting Co-Marketing Merchant priorities. This role will support +20 strategic campaigns across $XXM covering CPG, Restaurant, and New Vertical industries. You will set the operating model, make the decisions that keep the campaign on track against launch timing, ROAS performance, and advertisers commitments. You will be the voice of Paid in cross-functional forums, arriving with data, a clear point of view and a recommendation, and you will lead agency and platform partners as the single accountable owner. This is your opportunity to influence and own a Paid marketing function as a lead, touching channel decision making and strategy with Director + visibility.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Own the end to end paid marketing operations, from intake and planning through launch, in-flight management and recap
Make independent decisions on campaign operations and bring a clear recommendation to cross-functional discussion: For example channel mix, creative, and optimization strategies.
Problem Solving: When there are unknowns, be the central driver to align on things like budgets, partnership commitments, and required approvals
Lead agencies and platform partners such as our Media Agency, Meta and The Trade Desk, from brief to delivery
Drive strategic projects end to end, including building channel playbooks, process revamps and the test-and-learn agenda
Lead and develop a team of 2 (with opportunity to scale), delegating ownership of processes and planning capacity against the campaign calendar
Must have experience interacting with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
Leadership Communication Opportunity: Keep leadership and partners informed with proactive updates, early risk flags and escalations that come with a proposed solution
Deliver recap reports and performance readouts with a clear narrative and benchmarks, ready for Marketing and Sales review
We’re excited about you because…
You’re a decisive, results-oriented marketer who has led paid media programs and XFN teams. You form a point of view from data, act on it, and keep the right people informed along the way. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, delegating work you should not be doing yourself, and holding partners to a high bar. You have experience managing leadership and can write and speak concisely to such an audience
5-8 years of experience in paid media, performance marketing, campaign management or marketing operations
Experience managing agencies and paid channels such as CTV/OLV, programmatic, paid social, and DOOH
Strong command of campaign measurement, including ROAS, benchmarking and root cause analysis of performance
Track record of owning cross-functional projects and decisions without direct authority
Sound judgment on when to decide, when to align and when to escalate
Excellent written and verbal communication, with examples of leadership-ready updates and recommendations
Experience building and scaling processes, trackers and playbooks
[Preferred] Experience in CPG, QSR or marketplace co-marketing, and with tools such as Sigma, iSpot or Monday.com
