Description

The company helps small businesses take care of HR so they can focus on running their business. The team is data-driven, keeps iterating, and works in a supportive, entrepreneurial setting where the work is meaningful and fun.

The Platform Product Marketing team links product strategy to market impact across the company's platform. The team helps customers understand the value of new products and builds the strategies and systems that drive adoption and growth.

This role focuses on products that help small businesses manage teams and daily operations, such as time, attendance, and related workflows. You will own positioning, go-to-market strategy, and adoption for a set of connected products, working with Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Revenue, and Customer Success to turn opportunities into launches that deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Research customer needs, buyer expectations, market trends, and competitor moves in the product areas you cover.
  • Write positioning, messaging, and value propositions that show what our products do and how they stand apart.
  • Tie each product story to the wider platform and adapt the message for key audiences and use cases.
  • Build competitive narratives and enablement materials so customer-facing teams can handle objections and speak confidently.
  • Bring customer, product, and market insight into planning, prioritization, and roadmap choices.
  • Work with Product and Design to spot unmet needs and judge market opportunities.
  • Create go-to-market plans for new products and major features, covering audiences, positioning, channels, success measures, and launch order.
  • Lead launch readiness with Product, Marketing, Revenue, Customer Success, and other partner teams.
  • Work with Growth, Lifecycle Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success to drive awareness, conversion, adoption, and expansion.
  • Use customer feedback, product data, and frontline input to improve onboarding and ongoing engagement.
  • Set and track success measures, and use the results to improve programs and guide future choices.
  • Lead major initiatives from strategy through execution, keeping teams clear on ownership and moving forward.
  • Influence stakeholders across several teams without direct authority over them.
  • Turn unclear problems into clear structure, make firm recommendations, and explain tradeoffs.
  • Build reusable frameworks, tools, and processes that raise the quality and consistency of the team's work.

Requirements

  • You have 5-8 years of experience in product marketing, product strategy, growth, or a related B2B SaaS role, with a record of launching products and delivering measurable business results.
  • You have owned positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and adoption for complex products or multi-step customer workflows.
  • You are strong at customer and market research and can turn qualitative and quantitative insight into clear product and go-to-market recommendations.
  • You can turn operational, technical, and compliance-driven capabilities into compelling value for customers, prospects, executives, and customer-facing teams.
  • You have shaped product strategy and roadmap decisions using customer insight, competitive intelligence, product data, and business context.
  • You have led cross-functional work and influenced stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, Revenue, Marketing, Customer Success, Compliance, and Operations without direct authority.
  • You think analytically and strategically and have set success metrics and judged launch performance, adoption, engagement, and business impact.
  • Experience in workforce management, HR technology, payroll, time and attendance, scheduling, compliance, fintech, or other SMB-focused software is strongly preferred.
  • Core values, known as COGIS: Camaraderie (collaborate to drive shared growth), Openness (be transparent about strategy and tradeoffs and seek feedback), Grit (keep going through ambiguity and iterative build work), Integrity (keep messaging accurate and set expectations that build long-term trust), Simplicity (turn complex workforce and compliance needs into clear direction).
