Description

The company runs a large, complex enterprise technology environment, and this role supports its day-to-day operations from behind the scenes.

You will work across change management, ServiceNow, configuration and asset lifecycle tracking, maintenance, licensing, procurement and vendor coordination, keeping infrastructure accurately tracked, maintained, licensed, changed safely and ready for use.

The job sits in IT Infrastructure and Operations and suits someone who wants to work across several IT areas rather than one technology.

You will work with engineers, service owners, security staff, asset managers, vendors, procurement teams and leadership.

The program covers 28 IT engineering disciplines, including servers, storage, networking, infrastructure, SharePoint, databases, directory services, Linux and Windows, Exchange, VDI, security, web services and search. The role supports change activity across many of these teams and shows how technology is deployed, changed, tracked, maintained, licensed and retired.

The company is a global technology and professional services firm with 26,000 staff in more than 50 countries. It serves US government, defense and intelligence agencies in AI, cloud, cyber and software development.

Responsibilities

  • Review Digital Services change requests, check the technical and operational details, and support Change Advisory Board activity across engineering disciplines.
  • Keep enterprise asset records in ServiceNow current for servers, storage, appliances and other technology, from deployment to retirement.
  • Make sure assets are recorded correctly as they are deployed, decommissioned and maintained in the asset management environment.
  • Coordinate hardware and software vendor renewals, check asset inventories and quotes, review costs, and support the acquisition and renewal process.
  • Gather technical and commercial details for software and hardware purchases, submit required security and purchasing requests, confirm entitlements, and support purchase order completion.
  • Maintain accurate software entitlement and licensing records for the products and services used across the environment.
  • Act as the operational contact for Microsoft, Oracle, Dell, HPE, Cisco and other technology providers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience in enterprise IT operations, configuration, asset or service management, or a similar technical field.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise service management platform.
  • Understanding of IT asset, configuration, change, or software and hardware lifecycle processes.
  • Ability to read technical information and turn it into accurate records, requests, reports and actions.
  • Careful attention to accuracy with asset, licensing, configuration, financial or operational data.
  • Organizational skills to juggle several activities across technical teams.
  • Can work on your own while coordinating with engineers, technical leads, vendors, security teams, procurement and leadership.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification. Must be 8570 compliant with a Security+ certification.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Must currently hold TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and be able to obtain it. No public trust clearance required.
