Description

You will lead two linked analytics areas in Advanced Analytics & Modeling (AA&M): the enterprise Key Drivers Analytics (KDA) capability and the Associate Director team, which supplies analytics support across the portfolio.

As owner of KDA, you will use multivariate and diagnostic methods to find what is moving performance across brands, markets, accounts, customers and geographies, then turn those findings into ranked actions.

As head of the Associate Director team, you will assign analytics staff to Precision Health, Integrated Promotion Mix Modeling (IPMM), KDA, AI & Unstructured Intelligence and ad-hoc work. Priorities for ad-hoc work are set each quarter by the Executive Director, AA&M.

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise KDA capability: its roadmap, methods, standards, governance and delivery on priority business decisions.
  • Lead and grow a team of Associate Directors, keeping execution quality high, developing their careers and deploying them well against enterprise priorities.
  • Run a combined US and Hyderabad operating model, working with AA&M leadership to align roadmap, capabilities, capacity and delivery.
  • Own advanced analytics projects from framing the business question through hypotheses, analytical design, model validation, insights and recommendations.
  • Design and run multivariate driver analyses, segmentation, archetyping, diagnostics and scenario models to identify what affects business performance.
  • Convert analytical findings into recommendations, decision frameworks and improvement plans that deliver measurable business results.
  • Set priorities for capability investment and analytics work using strategic value, business need, capacity and organizational goals.
  • Work across Customer & Patient Intelligence, SPT and other teams to make sure analytical solutions run smoothly, scale and get adopted.
  • Set and maintain standards for analytical rigor, validation, reproducibility, compliance, responsible AI, documentation and quality assurance.
  • Create reusable analytical assets, methods and best practices, and build up the Hyderabad teams so they can deliver more complex, scalable KDA work on their own.

Requirements

  • Essential: a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or a related quantitative field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Essential: at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in advanced analytics, data science, decision science or commercial analytics, ideally in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare or another complex industry.
  • Essential: prior experience leading a team, whether directly or indirectly.
  • Essential: strong executive communication, stakeholder influence and capacity management.
  • Essential: a record of leading driver, segmentation, diagnostic or performance analytics programs that led to business action.
  • Essential: experience running analytical programs from framing the question through executive recommendation, adoption and impact measurement.
  • Essential: experience leading analytics staff, moving talent flexibly between priorities and delivering through globally spread teams.
  • Essential: skill in key-driver analysis, multivariate modeling, segmentation and archetyping, performance diagnostics and scenario analytics.
  • Essential: working knowledge of adjacent methods such as predictive, patient analytics, IPMM/ROI and causal inference, enough to lead a flexible team.
  • Essential: sound judgment on correlation versus causation, uncertainty, confounding, data limits and practical significance.
  • Essential: statistical programming and reproducible analytical workflows.
  • Desirable: launch, account, subnational or access analytics experience.
  • Desirable: experience working with technology or platform teams to turn analytical solutions into products.
  • The role also calls for skills in Agile Methodology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Value Creation, Change Management, Curious Mindset, Data Governance, Data Literacy, Data Quality, Data Science, Data Strategies, Data Visualization, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Learning Agility, Machine Learning (ML), Machine Learning Algorithms, Mentorship, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Organizational Awareness, Stakeholder Engagement, Statistical Analysis, Time Series Analysis, Vision Planning and Visualizations.
