Description

The company builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors that help the U.S. and its Allies secure the space environment against threats.

Space is treated as a warfighting domain, and the team builds the technology used there.

The role helps the company make better business decisions from data, improve reporting, and build a more scalable data foundation with reusable solutions and sustainable analytics practices.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to understand their goals and turn them into reliable analyses, reports, dashboards, metrics, and data solutions, working independently.
  • Explore, clean, reconcile, and validate data from operational systems and new data infrastructure to find trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards, recurring reports, SQL queries, analytical datasets, and one-off analyses that support business decisions.
  • Test and run new data models, reporting processes, and analytical workflows, then document issues and give feedback so they scale and are easier to use.
  • Help set consistent metrics, data definitions, documentation, quality checks, and reporting practices as data capabilities grow.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, operations analysis, finance, product analytics, or a related field.
  • You have owned analytical projects on your own, from requirements gathering through analysis, validation, communication, and delivery.
  • Strong SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions, and the ability to investigate and verify query results.
  • You have built and maintained dashboards, reports, datasets, or analytical tools used by business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and attention to detail, with sound judgment on complex or imperfect data.
  • Preferred: experience with a BI or visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Grafana, or a similar platform.
  • Preferred: experience validating data models, reporting pipelines, transformations, or analytical workflows across multiple systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with data modeling concepts such as tables, dimensions, measures, grain, reusable reporting datasets, and metric definitions.
  • Preferred: exposure to Python, R, APIs, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, dbt, lakehouse concepts, Git, or other data development practices.
  • Preferred: experience improving data quality, automating manual reporting, documenting data processes, or setting analytics standards.

Conditions

Base salary: $80,000 - $150,000.
