This Assistant Vice President role sits in a team of risk professionals who calculate exposure measures accurately. The measures are Potential Future Exposure (PSE), Net Stress Exposure (NSE) and Factor Sensitivities (FS).

The team covers derivatives, both over-the-counter (OTC) and exchange traded (ETD), and securities financing transactions (SFT).

The role is a Business and Data Senior Analyst position, also titled Business Analytics Senior Analyst (C12). It calls for a working knowledge of risk systems, exposure methods, transaction data and market data.

The main goal is to find and improve the quality of risk data, which feeds better risk processes and exposure calculations for Risk Management, IT, Finance and Front Office.

Responsibilities

• Spot and fix likely problems in credit risk exposure calculations, with particular attention to Factor Sensitivities.
• Run thorough variance analysis across key risk products, portfolios and business data.
• Set up and keep up strict reasonability checks on important risk and finance fields and calculations.
• Work with key stakeholders to pin down the critical data elements that effective risk processes depend on.
• Build and deploy tools, systems and procedures that catch and resolve potential issues early.
• Keep looking for ways to simplify processes, automate work and prevent issues before they arise.
• Work largely on your own, juggling several tasks and priorities at once.
• When business decisions are made, weigh risk carefully, protecting the firm's reputation and the company, its clients and its assets. Follow applicable laws, rules and regulations and internal policy, use sound ethical judgment in your own conduct and business practices, and escalate and report control issues openly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of banking experience, with a solid grounding in credit risk measurement and exposure calculation.
• Essential understanding of OTC derivatives, SFT, ETDs and fixed income products.
• Strong data analysis skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent people skills and a client-focused approach, so you can work well with business partners, technology teams and management.
• Proven ability to handle several tasks with competing demands and deadlines, and a real drive to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Highly desirable: Tableau, SQL and Python skills.

Conditions

Full-time position based in Tampa, Florida, United States.

Full-time salary range: $87,280.00 to $130,920.00.

Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed.
