Business Analyst DWH

Description

The team sits within the Performance & Compliance tribe, which has an opening for a DWH Business Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements from users.
• Help business departments define requirements in detail.
• Suggest definitions for business terms, build the needed reference data and model the data conceptually in the DWH.
• Write the documentation: functional specifications, a glossary and inventory of business terms, reference data specifications, technical specifications, test scenarios, and user guides for new developments.
• Run or support functional approval tests for new reference data, data, reports and features, and non-regression tests for existing ones.
• Keep work on schedule against the deadlines set within projects.
• Support business users during the acceptance tests they run.
• Handle change management: tell users about new DWH platform developments, send them user guides for new applications, and take part in user training.
• Join project reviews and retrospectives, and offer constructive feedback and ideas for improving how the team works.
• Help estimate analysis effort on specific BI projects.
• Support evolutionary and corrective maintenance of applications in production.

Requirements

• A solid understanding of banking products and how different banking areas depend on each other.
• Skill in analysing a data set and the relationships within it.
• Skill in turning business requirements into functional specifications.
• Skill in writing and running functional test scenarios.
• Skill in spotting how a project will affect other work.
• Skill in supporting users as they adopt new developments.
• Good grasp of project methodology.
• Very good command of Microsoft Office products.
• Good knowledge of SQL, DWH concepts and data modelling.
• Intermediate to advanced English.
