Over 2000 engineers, risk and operations specialists deliver this work from Bucharest.

The role supports the Global Data Products strategy by helping deliver well-governed data that is available, consistently defined, of good quality, traceable and controlled.

Responsibilities

• Turn business requirements from international stakeholders into data logic, specifications, metadata and validation criteria.
• Build reusable solutions that favour standardisation, scalability and efficiency.
• Work on data modelling and make data available to end users.
• Write definitions for business terms using the existing the company data catalogues, covering data quality, lineage, privacy and security.
• Produce workflow diagrams, data models and functional and technical documentation.
• Work with architects so new solutions match the target architecture and the strategic data landscape.
• Help move business terms into the new catalogue or system.
• Support the resolution of production incidents linked to the mapping of business terms.
• Design and run end-to-end functional tests to confirm outputs meet business requirements before go-live.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, help plan with the team and own your deliverables.
• Help colleagues when they need it.
• Spot ways to improve data quality, documentation, governance and team effectiveness.
• Lead by example on complex problems, encouraging analytical thinking and practical solutions.

Requirements

• Experience in data management and knowledge of data solutions such as data warehousing, data catalogues, data modelling and data lineage.
• Experience in banking, regulatory reporting or credit risk.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to find problems, analyse key information and connect the dots independently, then bring solutions to senior management.
• Excellent written and spoken English at C1 level.
• Hands-on familiarity with Agile, applied in day-to-day work.
• A multicultural outlook and a strong focus on the customer.
• Experience in a large international organisation covering several segments and locations, including global operating models and rollouts across countries or hubs.
• Experience with banking products, processes and services.
• A master's or bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, mathematics or economics/business.
