You will report to the Chapter Lead and work within Scrum teams, helping to raise engineering standards across the organisation.

You will mentor developers and promote Agile and Continuous Delivery practices, building robust, scalable, production-ready software that improves the digital banking experience.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and design through delivery and production support.
• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable, high-performing solutions across the technology stack.
• Write clean, maintainable code with thorough automated tests, using current engineering practices.
• Raise quality and engineering standards and keep improving them, in line with the company's Agile and Continuous Delivery approach.
• Mentor and coach engineers, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, ownership and professional growth.
• Champion Agile, security-by-design and sound engineering practice, and keep stakeholders informed about progress, risks and outcomes.

Requirements

• You have 10+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership on large-scale applications and projects.
• You have proven skill in modern web development with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, web components and responsive design, with a clear focus on user experience and accessibility.
• You have a deep understanding of software delivery, including automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, source control and Agile working.
• You have designed and delivered secure, scalable, maintainable solutions across the full technology stack.
• You are a strong leader and communicator who manages stakeholders well, influences others, mentors people and works effectively in complex settings.
• You keep learning: you take part in the community, share knowledge, bring new ideas and keep up with emerging technologies and industry trends.
