Description

The company is expanding its commerce offerings into new revenue areas by giving merchants access to high-value cardmembers across its digital properties and partner placements. It uses its scale, customer relationships and purchase data to deliver relevant ads that produce measurable, incremental results for advertisers.

You will run delivery of the product roadmap for a set of ad and offers capabilities. You will turn the strategy from the Head of Product into detailed technical requirements and shipped features, and act as the main day-to-day link between the commercial and technology teams so each launch meets commercial and technical standards.

This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Product. You will convert product strategy and commercial needs into detailed technical specifications, own your area of the portfolio from requirements through build, testing and launch, and be the main contact between commercial and technology teams.

The work is hands-on and sits at the front of the company's emerging commerce business. You will own end-to-end delivery for your part of the portfolio, handle third-party AdTech and MarTech integrations at a working level, and work through the governance and compliance steps needed to bring new products to market at a large, regulated financial institution.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the roadmap for your assigned ad and offers capabilities, turning priorities from the Head of Product into delivery plans and making sure each capability ships on time and to standard
  • Write and maintain detailed business specifications and technical requirements that engineers can build from, based on commercial and advertiser needs
  • Act as the main link between commercial and technology teams, aligning them on requirements, weighing trade-offs and keeping work moving through the whole development lifecycle
  • Own integrations with DSPs, ad servers, clean rooms and identity solutions at a working level, managing vendor relationships and integration timelines
  • Lead testing and quality assurance, including UAT and performance validation, so every capability meets commercial and technical standards before launch
  • Act as product owner through legal, risk and regulatory reviews, preparing documents and securing approvals for new features and launches within the governance framework set by the Head of Product
  • Monitor product and system performance after launch, find problems and optimization opportunities, and pass recommendations to the Head of Product
  • Assess risk in business decisions with close attention to the firm's reputation and to protecting Citigroup, its clients and assets; comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations and internal policy; use sound ethical judgment in conduct and business practices; and escalate, manage and report control issues openly

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience in digital advertising, adtech, martech or commerce media
  • Solid understanding of the digital advertising technology stack, including ad serving, targeting, measurement and delivery systems
  • Proven ability to write detailed technical requirements and business specifications and to work closely with technology teams across the full development lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience managing third-party technology integrations in advertising, including vendor onboarding and ongoing relationship management
  • Experience getting products through governance, compliance and regulatory approval in a large or regulated organization
  • Strong stakeholder management, able to align commercial and technology teams on shared priorities at a working and mid-senior level
  • Able to work well in ambiguous, fast-moving settings and to build process and structure where little exists
  • Preferred: experience in commerce media, retail media or financial services advertising
  • Preferred: experience with card-linked offers or loyalty product capabilities
  • Preferred: background at a publisher, retail media network, DSP, SSP or adtech platform
  • Preferred: experience building or scaling a new ad product or capability from early stage through launch
  • Preferred: familiarity with clean rooms, identity solutions, attribution platforms and programmatic infrastructure
  • Bachelor's or university degree required; Master's degree preferred
