Cloud Developer - Senior

This is a senior backend Tech Lead role in the Engineering function, job level TCP04.

You will be the hands-on technical authority for critical system software, shaping its architecture, design and code quality.

Your work should show up in the core product through faster time to market, lower costs and a better fit with current and future customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced system software products.
• Improve performance and manage memory efficiently.
• Build solutions for virtualization, multithreading and the interaction between hardware and software.
• Design and build sturdy, scalable solutions for hard problems.
• Spot bottlenecks in system design early and fix them with scalable approaches.
• Investigate, triage and resolve a wide range of issues through deep debugging.
• Lead technical discussions and design reviews, and make decisions on critical system problems, encouraging the team to adopt new ideas and good practice.
• Build solutions and fit them into complex systems.
• Assess new technologies for fit with the roadmap and business value, and plan how to bring them into the architecture.
• Work with cross-functional teams to agree on design aims and integrate cleanly with the system architecture.
• Introduce new methods that drive continuous improvement.
• Follow changes in virtualization technology and bring useful practices to the team.
• Take on new or related tasks as they come up, staying adaptable and solving problems proactively.

Requirements

• Deep backend experience and strong working knowledge of the field.
• At least 10 years of expertise in C.
• Proven track record of technically leading other people.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI tools to speed up software development, improve engineering efficiency and keep learning.
• Solid knowledge of Linux and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM and OpenShift.
• Broad expertise in software systems design, development methods and integration across varied platforms and technologies.
• Ability to bring fresh approaches to hard technical problems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive attitude.
• Clear communication to present and discuss designs, proposals and solutions to senior management and stakeholders.
• Able to work autonomously while driving, grooming and mentoring team members.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• 10+ years of backend engineering experience.

Conditions

Permanent, full-time position.

Hybrid setup: you will work from a company office on average 2 days per week.
