AI / Software Engineering Manager (m/f)

Description

You will lead the development and delivery of AI-powered software engineering solutions for major global clients, as a manager in the company's Advanced Technology Solutions team. The role suits experienced leaders who pair solid technical depth with leadership skills and want to build, coach and grow strong teams on technology initiatives.

The company treats AI skill as core for modern developers and uses it across software development, data engineering, cloud, automation and analytics. Tools in use include GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code and the company's internal assistant, ChatPwC. The company works with Microsoft and OpenAI to bring current AI into daily work. You are expected to use AI tools actively and responsibly to raise productivity, sharpen problem solving and deliver scalable solutions.

The team has published a sample solution, a conference talk, a team profile, press coverage and thought leadership on generative AI value.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cross-functional teams of software engineers, AI engineers, data scientists and developers building AI and software solutions.
• Design and architect scalable systems using modern software engineering practices and AI methods such as generative AI, LLMs, RAG, NLP, computer vision and data science.
• Own projects end to end, from gathering requirements through deployment and ongoing support, and make sure quality and timelines hold.
• Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their business problems and turn them into practical, scalable technical strategies.
• Coach team members, grow their skills, and build a culture of technical excellence, innovation and continuous learning.
• Set best practices for software development, AI implementation, deployment and governance across the team.
• Use AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code and ChatPwC to work faster, improve code quality and solve hard problems responsibly.

Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering, AI development, machine learning or cloud technologies, with a record of leading technical teams.
• A proven record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects end to end.
• Strong Python and/or other modern languages, plus libraries and frameworks such as pandas, NumPy and scikit-learn or equivalents.
• Hands-on work with AI and/or modern architecture, such as LLMs, RAG, NLP, machine learning, computer vision, microservices or distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL databases and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP, and with data engineering practices.
• Good grasp of the software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, with the ability to influence senior clients and executives.
• A strategic mindset that ties technical solutions to business goals and return on investment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with business judgement.
• English at B2 level or above.

Conditions

The stated salary is the minimum for this role. Final pay is set individually based on your experience, expertise, seniority and overall profile. A performance bonus tied to your individual results and the company's success is also paid.
