You will join the Wealth Management digital product team as a Product Owner Support, helping to bring digital products and client journeys to life.
The team works on digital capabilities that improve client experiences, using client insight, data and emerging technologies, including AI, to inform business analysis and delivery decisions.
You will work alongside Product Owners and cross-functional teams in a collaborative setting where curiosity, attention to detail and a focus on outcomes are valued.
Product Owners maximise product value by setting a clear product vision, managing and prioritising the backlog, and balancing desirability, viability and feasibility so the team builds the right thing. They are the main link between stakeholders and delivery teams and own the roadmap for their product area or sub-journey, applying continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Help the Product Owners turn priorities into clear actions and support delivery planning, so teams can move efficiently from concept to implementation.
Keep the backlog current by helping create, maintain and rank items, putting the highest value work first based on business needs, customer requirements and organisational impact, while weighing risk and future needs against product strategy.
Write clear, concise user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, and refine them so developers have what they need to build features.
Explain the product vision and goals to delivery teams so they understand the business value and purpose of each feature or story.
Review completed sprint work against the agreed acceptance criteria and confirm it delivers business value.
Take part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives to keep the team aligned on the backlog.
Gather feedback from customers and end users on their pain points, and make sure the product meets their needs.
Work with stakeholders such as customers, business leaders and marketing to gather requirements, set product goals and align the vision with business objectives.
Track product performance through KPIs and feedback, and adjust the backlog and roadmap accordingly. Support day-to-day running of live products, including monitoring, governance and approvals.
Identify risks, plan how to resolve or reduce them, escalate where needed, and align product management with control functions.
Check that products and features support broader business goals and company strategy, using market research, customer feedback and industry trends to spot new opportunities.
If you hold a leadership role, set objectives for your team, coach people towards them, assess performance against them and help decide rewards. Lead with the four LEAD behaviours: Listen and be authentic, Energise and inspire, Align across the enterprise, and Develop others.
If you work as an individual contributor, lead collaborative assignments, bring in other specialists where needed, and suggest new directions for work by combining cross-functional methods.
Advise People Leaders on complex escalated issues, and help design policies and procedures that strengthen controls and governance.
Own the risks and control strengths linked to your work, and analyse data from internal and external sources to solve problems.
Explain complex or sensitive information clearly to different audiences and persuade stakeholders to reach outcomes.
