Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and set its priorities so the work with the highest value and clearest outcomes comes first.
• Work with senior stakeholders across technology and the wider business to find opportunities, shape product strategy and tie delivery to company-wide objectives.
• Lead the assessment and delivery of new technology solutions, including emerging capabilities that improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
• Work alongside engineering, architecture, security and risk teams to deliver products that are scalable, secure and sustainable.
• Weigh value, risk, cost and delivery against each other and make well-reasoned trade-offs that serve strategic goals.
• Measure success through adoption, business results and realised benefits, and use what you learn to keep improving and to find the next opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner or in a similar technology leadership role.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the confidence to challenge senior leaders in a constructive way.
• Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional teams and getting several business and technology functions aligned.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, and an interest in how automation, data and AI-enabled solutions can create business value.
• A commercial and strategic outlook that balances customer value, risk, governance and delivery priorities.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and decision-making skills in complex organisations.

Conditions

This is a hybrid role. You will need to be in the Bexhill or Leicester office at least once a week and at quarterly departmental events.

You must live within a 90-minute commute of one of these offices.
