Technical Project Manager (ServiceNow)

The work involves building and running an enterprise ITSM solution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a cross-functional technical team that delivers large-scale software products using Agile.
• Oversee projects from demand intake through requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Build strong working relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain detailed schedules that define every task and dependency needed for delivery.
• Create and maintain project artifacts and customer deliverables.
• Spot project risks and issues and put corrective actions in place.
• Explain technical and non-technical topics clearly to a wide range of audiences.
• Make sure the work follows the customer's Systems Engineering Life Cycle at every phase.

Requirements

• Required: experience leading matrixed organizations that bring enterprise-scale commercial solutions such as ITaaS, SaaS and PaaS to the DoD.
• Required: a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related field. Experience can be accepted in place of the degree.
• Required: 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Required: 6 or more years leading a team or delivering IT solutions as a project.
• Required: ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight.
• Required: ability to lead in a fast-moving setting and deliver on time and on schedule.
• Required: proven experience leading ServiceNow development projects.
• Required: experience delivering solutions using Agile.
• Required: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Required: experience using Microsoft Project to build detailed schedules.
• Required: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification.
• Required: willingness to work a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days onsite in Chantilly, VA.
• Required: willingness and ability to obtain a Secret clearance. A current, active Secret clearance is preferred.
• Desired: hands-on technical experience with ServiceNow.
• Desired: experience leading Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) implementations.

Conditions

Full-time, regular position.

Requires a Secret clearance to start.

Travel of up to 10% within the continental US.

Hybrid work with 2-3 days onsite in Chantilly, VA.

The proposed salary range is $120,800 - $265,800. Final pay depends on factors such as location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, prior experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
