You will lead key cross-team projects for the IM network department covering LAN, WAN, network security, Wi-Fi and 5G, for the parent company in France and Germany and for subsidiaries worldwide, including South America and Asia Pacific.

Early projects may include improving network security at subsidiaries and building a third datacentre. Other work covers datacentre and campus network obsolescence, adopting 5G, deploying network security at subsidiaries worldwide, and migrating WAN sites worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Keep communication flowing between team members and stakeholders.
  • Track progress and milestones, spot risks and issues, and resolve them as they arise.
  • Hold regular project meetings, report status and keep work aligned with objectives.
  • Find and address dependencies and bottlenecks before they slow work down.
  • Coach team members and help build a collaborative, high-performing team.
  • Apply project management best practices and company standards.
  • After each project, analyse the results and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of proven experience as a project manager with a record of successful delivery.
  • Background in network technologies, including LAN (ACI, SDA), WAN, and network security (firewalls, proxies).
  • Background in infrastructure technology.
  • Understanding of how large companies' IS systems are complex.
  • Knowledge of PMI methodology. PMP certification or an equivalent is a strong plus.
  • Strong organisation and multitasking skills, with the ability to set priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools.
  • Comfort working at pace in a dynamic setting with matrix teams.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Delivery focus, drive to take on challenges, and the ability to handle a heavy workload and pressure.
  • Ability to manage external suppliers and complex external contracts.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to travel to Paris, Toulouse and Donauwörth as projects require.
  • Fluent English is essential.
  • Negotiation-level French.
  • German and/or Spanish would be a plus.

Conditions
