The company runs three products: an agent orchestration platform for governed AI work, a banking platform covering product, pricing, offers, billing, loyalty and relationship management, and an integration platform that connects data, systems and workflows in complex enterprise settings.

Based in Toronto, Canada, the company works with financial institutions in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

The role is a Technical Consultant I position supporting configuration, development, testing and implementation of SaaS solutions for financial institutions. You will work alongside experienced consultants and technical teams to turn banking, product, pricing, billing, workflow, integration and data requirements into dependable technical solutions for client go-lives.

At this level the focus is on building technical skills, completing assigned implementation tasks, working with cross-functional teams, and learning enterprise SaaS and banking technology. You will get hands-on work in configuration, development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, deployment readiness and production support.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation work across products, pricing, billing, offers, eligibility, approvals, reporting, integrations, automation and related platform features.
• Help turn client requirements into configuration specs, data mappings, technical documents, test scenarios and implementation tasks.
• Under technical guidance, configure, customize, build and maintain backend, frontend, API, integration, reporting, workflow and data processing components.
• Help develop and test REST APIs, file transformations, validation rules, error handling and integration interfaces.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues in application behaviour, configuration, databases, APIs, batch jobs and data flows, escalating complex problems when needed.
• Run functional, integration, regression and data-driven tests to confirm the solution meets the agreed acceptance criteria.
• Join client meetings, technical discussions, solution demos, defect triage and delivery checkpoints alongside senior team members.
• Work with business analysts, QA engineers, developers, DevOps, architects and project managers to deliver implementations.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, implementation notes, test results and knowledge-sharing material.
• Follow established development standards, security guidelines, coding practices and QA processes.
• Own assigned tasks, report progress, and raise blockers and dependencies early.
• Take a customer-focused, consultative approach while building an understanding of client business needs and technical solutions.
• Grow your skills through hands-on delivery, mentoring, training and ongoing learning.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and stakeholders, asking for clarification and guidance when needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development, technical consulting, enterprise application implementation or a similar technical role. Relevant internships and project work may be considered.
• Foundational knowledge of software development principles, object-oriented programming, data structures and application design.
• Hands-on experience or working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Python or related backend technologies.
• Understanding of relational databases, SQL, data analysis and basic database troubleshooting. PostgreSQL experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON/XML, web services, microservices and application integration.
• Understanding of the SDLC, Git, Maven, CI/CD concepts and Agile methods.
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP, plus containerization and deployment concepts.
• Awareness of authentication, authorization, secure coding and common application security principles.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, troubleshoot application issues and help identify practical fixes.
• Understanding of functional testing, integration testing, debugging and software QA practices.
• Ability to read functional and technical requirements and turn them into development, configuration and testing tasks.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Good communication, documentation, collaboration and time management skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to own deliverables, manage priorities, and seek guidance or escalate issues appropriately.
• Nice to have: exposure to banking or financial services technology, especially pricing, billing, rates and fees, offers, eligibility, workflows or financial product management.
• Nice to have: experience with enterprise SaaS applications, client implementation projects or configurable software platforms.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud deployment environments, and messaging technologies such as Kafka or Redpanda.
• Nice to have: basic exposure to NoSQL databases, caching technologies, OAuth or deployment automation tools.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Apache NiFi or other ETL tools, workflow engines, data integration or batch processing technologies.
• Nice to have: exposure to automated testing tools, JUnit, performance testing, application monitoring, logging and troubleshooting.
• Nice to have: experience in technical workshops, requirement discussions, system integration testing, deployment activities or production support.
• Nice to have: interest in building expertise in enterprise banking platforms, SaaS implementations and technical consulting.

Conditions

Expected salary: CAD 55,000 to 65,000.

Hybrid work model.
