Description

The company offers one payment platform that brings together payments, data and financial products, and serves large global brands and fast-growing businesses.

As an Implementation Engineer, you work with fast-growing and enterprise merchants to design, connect and expand how they use the payment platform.

The role is based in Toronto and suits someone who is both consultative and technically hands-on.

You are the main technical contact for merchants, taking each project from early design to a successful launch.

Teammates tackle technical problems at scale and work through them together.

Responsibilities

  • Run implementation projects end to end, from solution design to go-live.
  • Design and build API-based integrations for complex systems that perform well.
  • Work with Sales before deals close to shape solutions, judge feasibility and join technical conversations with prospects.
  • Guide merchants through architecture and integration choices.
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Sales and Project Management so merchants get the best result.
  • Take merchants through technical design, testing and production readiness.
  • Raise delivery standards by sharing practices and building up team knowledge.
  • Help colleagues get past blockers and grow by passing on what you know.
  • Relay merchant needs and pain points to Product and Engineering as usable findings.
  • Push for product and integration improvements based on repeated merchant issues and feedback.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in technical consulting, integrations or software engineering.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, with experience across frontend and backend systems.
  • Able to make calls when the situation is unclear.
  • Clear communicator who leads technical discussions and earns trust from technical and business audiences.
  • Self-starting builder who carries projects through to completion.
  • Practical, focused on solutions that work and scale.
  • Shares best practices proactively so merchants ship reliable integrations.
  • Many women and members of underrepresented groups apply only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. If that is you, the company encourages you to apply.

Conditions

Based in the Toronto office. The company is office-first, and remote-only work is not an option for this role.

Base salary is $105,000-$185,000 CAD per year.

Interviews usually take about 4 weeks, though timing can vary by role. You should hear back within 5 business days of applying.

Flexibility on timing can be requested if you need it.

The company does not discriminate on the basis of any protected status, and applicant information stays confidential under EEO guidelines.
