Description

The company is building the next generation of autonomous robots, including autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and intelligent robotic platforms. The Robotics Software team covers the full stack, from perception and planning through control and system integration.

You will build 2D and 3D simulators and design realistic test scenarios. You will connect robot software to these simulators so the team can check how a system behaves before it is deployed in the real world. You will work with autonomy and AI specialists to validate complete systems and make both the robots and the testing more robust.

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve 2D and 3D simulation platforms used to test, validate, and measure the performance of autonomous robots.
  • Write and maintain simulation scenarios that reflect real use cases and edge conditions.
  • Connect robot navigation software to the simulation platforms.
  • Help find and fix problems in robot behavior when it runs in simulation.
  • Review simulation results to find software and system faults.
  • Set up regression and progression test workflows for validation through simulation.
  • Work with other teams to strengthen simulation tools and validation methods.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in robotics, computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a closely connected discipline.
  • Be skilled in Python or C++.
  • Have worked with simulation platforms such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim or Gazebo.
  • Understand physics engines such as PhysX, Bullet, or ODE, or 3D game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine, as used in robot simulation.
  • Be comfortable with ROS 2 or another robotics middleware.
  • Understand core robotics modules, including localization, mapping, and planning.
  • Preferred: hands-on work with simulation tools and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
  • Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines that run regression or performance tests in simulation.
  • Preferred: experience with cloud-based simulation systems.
  • Preferred: experience integrating autonomous vehicles, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), or industrial automation systems.

Conditions

The role is hybrid. You are expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}.

Travel is required for less than 25% of the time.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits unlawful discrimination.

Selected applicants may need to complete a role-related assessment and/or a pre-employment screening before they start.

Benefits
