The team owns the mobile backend-for-frontend platform and the back-office integration architecture behind the company's mobile ownership experiences.
The role sets the technical direction for this platform, raises engineering quality across microservices and cloud-native systems, and guides the shift toward scalable DevOps and AI-assisted operations.
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design and evolution of the platform and its core microservices for mobile ownership experiences.
Set the technical strategy for scalable APIs, orchestration services, integration patterns and platform capabilities across REST, GraphQL, WebSockets and event-driven systems.
Set engineering standards for reliability, resilience, observability, security and operational readiness, including SLOs, SLAs and service health expectations.
Improve DevOps maturity by defining CI/CD standards, release automation, progressive delivery, environment strategy and production support practices.
Promote AI-enabled engineering and operations, including code generation support, anomaly detection, operational analysis, incident triage, capacity forecasting and developer productivity.
Work with product, architecture, security, SRE and operations, and dependent engineering groups to match platform direction to business priorities and enterprise standards.
Lead complex design reviews, production readiness reviews, incident reviews and modernization work to improve reliability, delivery speed and maintainability.
Mentor senior engineers and multiply your impact across the organization by raising technical quality and sharpening decisions and execution.
Find ways to reduce platform complexity, increase reuse, standardize patterns and speed up onboarding and delivery across services.
Keep architecture, APIs and platform workflows documented, with clear technical standards, playbooks and governance.
