Description

The company is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing for oncology, women's health and organ health, and the team includes statisticians, geneticists, doctors, lab scientists, business professionals and software engineers.

The role is a senior, strategic position that owns the technical architecture of the Sales Cloud and Service Cloud platforms, sets platform standards and drives transformation work used by thousands of users across go-to-market and customer success teams. You will be the technical authority on Salesforce best practices, scalability and new capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan the platform: about 15% of the time goes to end-to-end designs that connect Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, plus metadata frameworks, custom objects and data models built to scale.
  • Set platform standards, coding guidelines and integration patterns, and make sure work stays within Salesforce Governor Limits and other platform constraints.
  • Lead org hygiene work, reduce technical debt and shape the long-term roadmap.
  • Spend about 60% of your time on solution design and delivery: build complex workflows, automation, omni-channel and AI-driven features such as Einstein Analytics and Einstein Copilot.
  • Design secure integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using MuleSoft, AWS and REST/OAuth.
  • Take key initiatives such as data cloud, person accounts and skill-based routing from design through to production.
  • Spend about 25% of your time mentoring and leading: guide Salesforce developers and admins, run design reviews and validate architecture.
  • Work with product, business systems and engineering leaders to keep the roadmap aligned.

Requirements

  • Required: you must be able to work on-site in the Austin, TX office three days per week.
  • Required: at least 8 years of Salesforce architecture and implementation experience, with deep expertise in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Required: expert-level skill in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and SOQL optimization.
  • Required: a track record of designing secure, scalable integrations using REST APIs, OAuth, SSO and MuleSoft.
  • Required: experience architecting multi-org, multi-cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Required: strong knowledge of Governor Limits, performance tuning and data modeling.
  • Preferred: experience integrating with AWS, MuleSoft or Heroku.
  • Preferred: experience with Einstein Analytics, Einstein Copilot or other AI-driven Salesforce features.
  • Preferred: Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect certification, or both.
  • Preferred: experience in healthcare or another regulated industry.
  • You balance new ideas with practical delivery and trade technical perfection against business speed.
  • You understand data governance, OAuth, SAML, multi-tenancy and compliance frameworks well.
  • You can explain technical architecture to C-suite and product stakeholders in terms of business value.
  • You raise the skill level of your team through code review, design collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Conditions

Location: Austin, TX, on-site three days per week.

Pay range: $105,700 - $132,100 USD. Actual pay depends on skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications and office location, and may differ in other locations due to cost of labor.

The company offers base salary, performance bonuses and equity.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, vision, life and disability plans for eligible employees and dependents.
  • Free testing for employees and their immediate families, plus fertility care benefits.
  • 401(k) matching, flexible PTO, a professional development budget, pregnancy and baby bonding leave and commuter benefits.
  • An employee referral program.
  • Work on healthcare technology that aims to improve patient outcomes.
