Description

The team builds the quality systems that let the Financial Reporting teams release customer-facing features quickly and with confidence.

This is a hands-on Staff individual contributor role covering several products. You will own testing activities, the quality platform, engineering standards and developer workflows, with a focus on test infrastructure, distributed-systems validation, CI/CD reliability, performance and observability.

You will work with Principal Engineers, Product Directors, other quality teams and engineering leaders to build quality into every stage of delivery rather than checking it at the end.

The company offers an AI-powered platform that brings finance, risk and sustainability data together in one secure system.

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical direction for quality engineering across the Financial Reporting products, including shared test tooling, infrastructure, standards and paved-road developer experiences.
  • Own governance standards that keep AI-generated code and agent integrations safe, testable and consistent across services.
  • Assess every agent-callable surface for AI readiness before integration, and define rollback or human-confirmation paths for agent actions.
  • Build and evolve scalable automated test frameworks covering API, integration, contract, end-to-end, user-workflow, performance and resiliency testing.
  • Design and build quality-platform capabilities for complex distributed systems, including CI/CD integration, test environments, release validation and actionable quality signals.
  • Lead performance, load, scale, reliability and chaos testing for critical services and customer workflows.
  • Define quality metrics, telemetry standards and dashboards that surface release risk, system weaknesses and customer-facing regressions early.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to build quality into planning, development, delivery and production operations.
  • Lead multi-quarter, cross-functional technical initiatives from problem definition through architecture, build, adoption and measurable outcomes.
  • Align quality investment with product strategy, architecture roadmaps and customer needs alongside Principal Engineers, Product Directors and engineering leadership.
  • Prototype and deliver high-leverage platform components yourself, and help product teams adopt and extend shared capabilities.
  • Lead and mentor Senior and Mid-level engineers, raise the quality engineering bar, and create practices that work beyond a single team.
  • Connect production signals, user workflows and engineering decisions to the customer experience.
  • Bring product lines and stakeholders together to settle unclear technical problems and set lasting engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications: a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum Qualifications: 4+ years in software engineering, software development in test, test infrastructure, quality engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • Preferred Qualifications: experience leading complex, ambiguous, multi-team initiatives from strategy through delivery, adoption and measurable results.
  • Preferred Qualifications: advanced fluency in working with and evaluating AI-assisted or agent-authored code.
  • Preferred Qualifications: experience building evaluation frameworks that measure the correctness of AI agent decisions, not only latency, availability and uptime.
  • Preferred Qualifications: experience managing outsourced testing teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications: deep experience designing scalable automated testing strategies, frameworks and tooling for distributed systems, microservices, APIs and backend infrastructure.
  • Preferred Qualifications: strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in one or more modern languages, such as TypeScript, Python, Go, Java or JavaScript.
  • Preferred Qualifications: experience building quality across the delivery lifecycle, including CI/CD, test environments, release validation, observability, and unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, performance and resiliency testing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: experience designing quality solutions in cloud-native environments with tools such as Kubernetes, Docker and Playwright.
  • Preferred Qualifications: proven ability to influence technical leaders, mentor engineers, build reusable platforms or standards, and align multiple product teams or global engineering organizations.
