QA Automation Engineer - PIU based Compensation only

Description

The company is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to build automated tests that check the quality, stability and speed of its applications.

You will work alongside the Development, Product and DevOps teams at every stage of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements to decide what to test and where automation will pay off.
• Build and upkeep automated test scripts and the frameworks behind them.
• Run automated and manual tests covering functional, regression, integration, API and end-to-end scenarios.
• Write automated tests for web apps, APIs and backend services.
• Log, track and confirm fixes for defects in Jira.
• Connect automated tests to CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate failing tests and work with developers to find the underlying cause.
• Keep test documentation, test data and automation environments up to date.
• Raise automation coverage and make the QA process more efficient.
• Take part in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and work with teams across functions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in QA automation or software testing.
• Practical use of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or a similar automation framework.
• Scripting or programming in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or a similar language.
• Experience testing APIs with Postman, REST Assured or comparable tools.
• A solid grasp of QA methods and testing processes.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Git, CI/CD and Agile/Scrum.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with clear communication and good teamwork.
• Preferred: experience with SQL or database testing, performance testing, Docker, cloud testing or microservices.
• Preferred: experience building or maintaining scalable automation frameworks.

Conditions

Compensation is PIU based only.
