Description

The SysAdmin team builds and maintains the company's internal operations tools: a web application, backend admin APIs and a CLI that SRE, Support, Billing, Sales Ops and Engineering use to inspect and act on customer fleets.

The company is a fast-growing start-up, and this team's goal is to make risky operational actions safer, traceable and quicker to complete.

Responsibilities

  • Design and grow the internal admin console, admin APIs and Go-based CLI plugins used across the company.
  • Build the safeguards for high-impact actions, including granular permissions, enforced staff SSO, narrowly scoped service tokens, guardrails and tamper-proof audit logs.
  • Connect third-party systems such as Salesforce, Pylon, billing platforms and feature flag tools so that a customer's full picture appears in one view.
  • Work closely with Support, SREs and Sales Ops to remove manual operational work and improve how incidents are handled.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of full-stack engineering, with a focus on back-office tooling, admin consoles or internal developer platforms.
  • Strong TypeScript, Node.js and React skills for building data-dense interfaces.
  • Experience or willingness to write Go for CLI tooling is a major plus.
  • A solid understanding of internal authorization, staff access policies, rate limiting and audit trail design.
  • Experience connecting external APIs, including managing authentication contracts, handling rate limits and keeping data fresh.
  • Ideal background: internal tools, trust and safety, fintech operations, or developer productivity at cloud platforms such as Stripe Ops, Shopify, Atlassian, Datadog or Cloudflare.

Conditions

Remote-friendly role at a globally distributed company operating in more than 25 countries.

Benefits

  • Employer contributions toward your healthcare.
  • Stock options for every new team member.
  • Flexible time off in the US and generous entitlement in other countries.
  • A USD$500 home office setup for remote employees.
  • Company-wide in-person offsites to connect with colleagues.
