Java Fullstack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to design and build tailored customer projects for web and enterprise environments, using modern agile methods.
• Work closely with customers to learn how their business operates and turn their needs into reliable software.
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code with your team, including pair and mob programming.
• Take on feedback from teammates to grow your skills on the project.
• Own software from idea to production with a DevOps mindset.
• Build automated quality checks from the start, for example with test-driven development and specification by example.
• Keep up with new technologies and trends and share what you learn.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (FH, Uni, ETH or similar) in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• Two to three years of proven experience as a Java developer, with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming and best practices.
• Experience building fullstack applications with Java and a modern JavaScript or TypeScript frontend framework such as Angular or React, with a focus on what the customer needs.
• Some knowledge of Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, messaging, container orchestration, microservices and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Some experience working in agile teams.
• You use AI-assisted engineering tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, to build software faster and better.
• You communicate well, work well in a team and solve problems effectively, with fluent German and English at C1 level or higher.

Conditions

Flexible working hours and the option to work from home.

Customer visits about two to three times per week.
