Description

You will join a small, self-directed, cross-functional agile team in the Manufacturing & Supply (M&S) Accelerator group, where the work is to get new medicines to market sooner, meet unmet medical needs, and make those medicines affordable worldwide.

The role suits someone who wants wide ownership: shipping working software to production every day and helping build a complete product that solves real problems.

The company is a global healthcare business with a digital and data focus, and this team works with the feel of a startup.

This posting is written in English because English is the working language with the company's international subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate software that speeds up delivery of medicines to patients.
  • Keep the systems you build scalable, maintainable, and reliable.
  • Help shape the technical direction of your project while staying consistent with the wider engineering strategy.
  • Turn requirements into clean, high-performance code.
  • Work with peers, product managers, and data engineers to deliver on time.
  • Own technical decisions and see your assigned work through to completion.
  • Take on less visible work that helps the team move faster.
  • Build deep expertise in the areas that matter for manufacturing and supply innovation.
  • Hold a high bar for software quality, testing, and documentation.
  • Promote good practices and contribute to team-wide technical standards.
  • Build and maintain modern, cloud-native applications.
  • Contribute to shared codebases, tools, and processes.
  • Take part in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
  • Explain your work clearly and proactively to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • A collaborative, flexible, and proactive attitude, with initiative and a sense of ownership.
  • Clear written and spoken English.
  • A learning mindset and eagerness to pick up new technologies and methods.
  • A willingness to experiment and propose better ways of working.
  • 7+ years of experience, or equivalent knowledge. If you feel qualified, apply even if your years of experience are fewer.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (plus).
  • Experience working in an innovative environment that moves quickly.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript with Node.js.
  • Proficiency in React or a similar framework.
  • Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience with microservice architectures, API design, and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar, on at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Use of AI throughout your work, in a deliberate and systematic way, from requirements refinement and task breakdown through code generation, code review, quality checks, bug fixing, and maintenance. This is what the team expects from you.

Conditions

Base salary range: €64,000.00 to €85,333.

Final pay depends on your demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.

You may be eligible for the company's employee benefit programs.

Remote work up to 2 days per week, with the team based in central Lyon.

The company provides equal opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender identity.

Benefits

  • A fixed salary paid over 12 months, plus a short-term incentive and a collective variable payment tied to the company Group results.
  • Quality health insurance, enhanced sick pay support, and teleconsultation and second medical opinion covered by the company, along with wellness programs.
