Responsibilities

• Design, build, and tune enterprise software that runs critical platforms for global clients, balancing architecture with hands-on coding.
• Write and maintain secure, resilient, scalable application code that follows enterprise design standards.
• Work in agile squads with cloud architects, platform engineers, and technology leaders to modernise codebases and automate delivery.
• Apply Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and microservices patterns in your designs.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines that support fast, zero-downtime releases.
• Set the test automation approach across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to keep quality high.
• Turn complex requirements into scalable deliverables with architects, product owners, and client stakeholders.
• Find and remove technical debt, performance problems, and vulnerabilities through refactoring and code reviews.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers on craftsmanship, continuous learning, and shared code ownership.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on software development experience in modern enterprise languages such as Java, Python, C, or Go.
• A proven record of building and deploying microservices, RESTful APIs, or event-driven applications in production.
• A deep grasp of object-oriented design, architectural patterns, SOLID principles, and domain-driven design.
• Demonstrated work with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on skill with DevOps tooling, Git, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Strong experience designing and optimising relational stores such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and non-relational stores such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, clear cross-functional communication, and the ability to mentor a team.
• Optional: hands-on work deploying on a major cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Optional: practical use of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Optional: a relevant certification, such as AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, or CKAD.
• Optional: exposure to a frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js for full-stack work.
