Senior Java Fullstack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build customer projects for web and enterprise settings, tailored to each client's needs, using modern agile methods.
• Work closely with customers to understand their business and turn their requirements into high quality software. Expect to visit customers about 2-3 times per week.
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient code with fellow developers, including through pair and mob programming.
• Coach and support teammates so they can grow their skills and the team can grow with them.
• Own software delivery from idea to production with a DevOps mindset.
• Build automated quality checks from the outset, using practices such as test-driven development and specification by example.
• Keep up with new technologies and trends and share what you learn with the team.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree (FH, Uni, ETH or equivalent) in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Have more than four years of proven experience as a Java developer, with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming and best practices.
• Put the customer first and drive project success as a Java fullstack engineer, using current JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React or similar on the frontend.
• Work confidently across a broad stack, including Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, messaging, container orchestration, microservices and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Have experience working in agile development teams.
• Use AI-augmented engineering tools and practices, such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, to build better software faster.
• Communicate well, work well in a team, and solve problems effectively. Speak German and English fluently, at least C1 level.
