Description

The role sits within a company that develops robotic systems for endoluminal procedures. You will drive a product from early investigation through launch, lifecycle management and end-of-life, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and customer experience.

You will work across several product franchises and regions with R&D, Product Operations, Manufacturing, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory and Commercial. Part of the job is turning the value of several products into one clear story that covers launch through end-of-life.

You will have moderate independence on complex initiatives involving many stakeholders. You will shape portfolio and roadmap decisions, turn customer and field feedback into product requirements, and build data-backed narratives that help teams make trade-offs and agree on direction. Attention to detail, organization and linking strategy to disciplined execution matter here.

You report to the Group Product Manager of Systems and champion lifecycle quality for capital equipment across the endoluminal portfolio.

  • Define success metrics and KPIs that link product performance to user needs and business results.
  • Work with Finance on forecasting, lifecycle planning and business cases.
  • Combine qualitative and quantitative research into clear positioning and value propositions.
  • Suggest feature updates and next-generation products that match customer needs and long-term company goals, and state the unmet needs they address.
  • Assess prototypes and product fit, and weigh critical business requirements and likely product impact.
  • Raise awareness of in-market products and services that existing customers underuse.
  • Set product positioning, claims, messaging and pricing.
  • Run product rollouts, mainly in the United States and globally when needed.
  • Track adoption and collect post-launch feedback to judge success.
  • Coordinate launch and product cycle activities with global counterparts.
  • Shape strategy and execution across several product lines and platforms.
  • Relay practical, real-time field insights to the product team.
  • Engage customers directly through clinician interviews, site visits and key opinion leader meetings.
  • Follow clinical literature, emerging technology and market changes affecting the endoluminal platforms.
  • Help build the roadmap by weighing trade-offs, risks and opportunities and aligning stakeholders.
  • Run qualitative and quantitative market research to inform roadmap decisions, weighing trade-offs, risks and opportunities and aligning stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in medical device product management, product marketing or product-focused commercial roles.
  • Experience managing several complex projects and product lines on your own, with moderate risk and ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical skills to combine many data sources into clear insights and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to tell compelling product stories and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing product cycles.
  • Track record of working well with engineering, operations, clinical, commercial and regulatory partners.
