  • Set the sound design vision, direction and process, align work and priorities, and give colleagues constructive feedback.

  • Build strong partnerships across the product development cycle and present concepts, projects and prototypes to stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
  • Spot critical risks and development blockers, and help teams build practical plans to keep work moving.
  • Argue for sound design from both creative and technical angles, with precise analysis and documentation that supports bold, new concepts.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience in sound design and audio engineering, including technical methods such as synthesis and procedural audio systems.

  • Experience developing connected products, services, toys or video games, including designing and iterating audio systems.
  • The ability to inspire and align designers, partners and stakeholders through hands-on demos, engaging presentations and teamwork.
  • Skill in designing, prototyping and visualising play experiences in both digital and physical forms.
  • Project management experience in an engineering or technical setting, with familiarity with Confluence, Jira or similar tools.
  • Industry-standard audio mixing and mastering skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Preferred: experience with screen-free interactive experiences.
  • Preferred: audio design and implementation for embedded hardware.
  • Preferred: background in psychoacoustics, early childhood education, research or communications.
  • Preferred: experience in sonic branding or UX design.
  • Preferred: a passion for creating magical experiences for children and exploring play in all its forms.
  • Submit your CV, motivational letter and portfolio, all in English.
  • A portfolio upload is mandatory, with a maximum of 2 MB per file. If your work is larger, include a clearly highlighted link to it in your CV.
  • Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. The company may amend or withdraw the job at any time, including before the advertised closing date, so apply early.
