Description

The company provides payments, data and financial products together in one platform for large customers such as Meta, Uber, H&M and Microsoft.

The product experience group is made up of full-stack builders who handle research, design and content, owning work from first discovery through delivery.

You will focus on the developer platform, which thousands of merchants use to integrate, configure and grow their payments and financial products, so the quality of that integration affects how quickly merchants scale.

The developer experience group is reshaping the platform for AI-native use, including AI coding tools and autonomous agents that integrate on their own. Its scope covers identity and access, API design, real-time events, documentation, observability, plugins and agent workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full user experience across the developer platform.
  • Frame loosely defined problems in the developer space: write problem statements, map technical user journeys from start to finish, and set product direction.
  • Run user research with CTOs, developers and integration engineers, turning technical limits into solutions people can use.
  • Make dense technical and finance-facing screens easy to use without help.
  • Design developer touchpoints across the integration lifecycle, including interactive API reference, sandboxes, SDKs, webhooks and dashboard tools.
  • Shape flows that help developers make a first working call quickly and launch to production smoothly, reducing mental load for integration engineers and solution architects.
  • Define API mental models, parameter naming conventions and error handling patterns with API architects and core engineering teams.
  • Design interfaces for AI-assisted tooling, code generation and autonomous agent integrations.
  • Work daily with product, engineering and data analytics to shape short-term plans and long-term strategy.
  • Produce design requirements, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes and specs so engineering can implement cleanly.
  • Track adoption and integration speed through metrics, feedback and usability testing.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in interaction design, product design, HCI, information design or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years designing complex software, preferably for B2B, SaaS or developer tools, with a portfolio showing simplified technical workflows.
  • Understanding of how developers think, plus API standards such as REST and webhooks, SDK structure and code-based workflows. You can read code snippets, inspect JSON payloads and work directly with software architects.
  • Familiarity with business banking, payments or enterprise financial services, and comfort with data-dense screens and regulatory or financial constraints.
  • Ability to see the big picture, organize complex ecosystems and keep multi-layer platforms consistent and logical.
  • Personal ownership of customer outcomes, high standards for your own work, and a habit of mentoring teammates to raise the design bar.
  • Adaptability when conditions shift, and the ability to turn uncertain technical challenges into clear, actionable steps.
  • A focus on high-value problems with measurable business and user impact, favoring pragmatic execution over extra iterations.
