The ASTRO Android Platform team specialises in expanding the capabilities of world-class digital two-way radios & infrastructure for the mission critical market. This is a WPEP Software Engineering placement at Motorola Solutions in our expanding Cork team. We are looking for software engineers with a strong interest in embedded systems to help expand our team and deliver the next generation of communication devices to our customers. Our mission is to ensure that the products meet the requirements and related quality level before they are released into the field. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of software quality.

Basic Requirements

Learning Opportunities:

Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyse, design, implement, and test new two-way radio products and features

Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment

Incorporation of AI into workflows

Finding, tracking, and repairing Android device software defects

Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests

Execute test cases, analyse results and report all detected issues/defects

Collaborate with other team members and test & engineering managers.
