Description

The company runs an AI storytelling and visual creation platform that creators use across the world. It is building new creative tools on advanced AI, so people can make videos, images, characters and stories quickly.

The team sees creativity as AI-native and is working to define what that looks like.

The team is small, so engineers own whole systems from start to finish. Agents you build reach millions of creators, and changes can reach the product within days. Both founders are engineers who stay closely involved in product and architecture. The company values judgment, clarity and speed over heavy process.

This is a product-focused engineering role on the engineering team. You will work with engineering, product and go-to-market to spot new generative AI opportunities, build quick prototypes and ship them while the timing still matters. You will balance speed, quality and scale.

You will help develop OpenArt Agent and other core products, and build OpenArt Arena. You will also test the newest video and image generation models, learn their strengths, and turn what you find into better features and user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and improve OpenArt Agent and other OpenArt products
  • Build and grow OpenArt Arena, with simple ways to explore and compare generative AI models
  • Work closely with product, design and GTM to turn market trends into strong product features
  • Test video and image generation models for quality, capability, reliability and real-world use
  • Prototype and ship new ideas inspired by new models, technologies and changes in user behavior quickly
  • Build polished, production-ready frontends in React and Next.js, from start to finish
  • Weigh speed, correctness and scalability in each decision, and explain the trade-offs clearly

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production software
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered agents or applications that real users have adopted, not only prototypes or demos
  • Working knowledge of agent harness concepts such as tool use, context and memory management, multi-step planning, or sub-agent orchestration
  • Solid data modeling and schema design for real product use cases
  • You use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor as a core part of your work, and have clear views on what makes them effective
  • Product sense for what makes an agent feel trustworthy and enjoyable, not just working
  • Clear communication, so you can explain agent behavior and technical trade-offs to non-engineers
  • Experience writing reusable Agent Skills or structured agent workflows
  • Practical experience building MCP servers or CLI tools for agents
  • Exposure to agent orchestration frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK or LangGraph, or to LLM evaluation and observability tools
  • Hands-on experience with image and video generation models
  • Startup experience, or experience building something from 0 to 1, including side projects
