Description

The company makes identity security software. Its platform covers both human workforce identities and AI and non-human identities, with zero-standing privilege and contextualised risk built in.

You will join one of the company's UK Platform Engineering teams. The team builds and runs core services for the company's identity security cloud product, and it is moving toward full-stack feature ownership.

The work centres on the Identity Graph, where platform services let applications define policies, make real-time decisions and respond to changes across millions of identities.

The team is made up of backend and UI specialists who value knowledge sharing, high code quality and regular collaboration. The team meets in person once per quarter for a one- to two-day offsite.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and run mission-critical platform services.
  • Write high-performance Golang code and build full-stack features with Angular.
  • Build resilient microservices on AWS and tune distributed cloud architectures for low-millisecond latency.
  • Work with distributed teammates and with data scientists on AI-driven features.
  • Within 30 days, finish onboarding, set up your development environment, get repository access, read the Identity Graph and policy engine architecture documents, sit in on sprint meetings, design talks and code reviews, and merge your first Golang pull request with full unit tests.
  • Within 60 days, build and deploy your first end-to-end microservice feature in the policy engine, write unit and integration tests that meet platform coverage standards, review peers' code with useful feedback, and learn the monitoring dashboards, alerts and on-call runbooks.
  • Within 6 months, deliver full-stack platform features in Golang and Angular on your own, work with the Data Science team on AI features in policy decisions, join the primary 24x7 on-call rotation of about one week in 20, and improve CI/CD pipelines to shorten release cycles.
  • Within 1 year, lead design and delivery for high-throughput, low-latency microservices handling millions of identity access requests, mentor teammates, promote engineering best practices, lead performance tuning across distributed cloud databases such as DynamoDB, Aurora or Snowflake, and help shape architecture roadmaps and technical strategy for core platform work.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven backend experience in Golang, building scalable microservices and SaaS products.
  • Frontend experience with Angular or another modern JavaScript or TypeScript framework.
  • Solid knowledge of automated testing, including unit, integration and end-to-end tests, and strong debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with AWS and distributed cloud data stores such as DynamoDB, Aurora or Snowflake.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines such as Jenkins or CloudBees.
  • Ability to join a scheduled 24x7 on-call rotation of about 1 week in 20.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with a collaborative attitude and a drive to grow.
  • Stack: Golang and microservices on the backend, Angular and TypeScript on the frontend, AWS and CI/CD with CloudBees or Jenkins, and DynamoDB, Aurora and Snowflake for data.
  • You are expected to use AI development tools daily, to speed up delivery, widen your scope and raise quality. You must check, validate and take ownership of everything you ship, including AI-generated code. Prompting, agentic workflows and human-in-the-loop review are baseline skills.
  • AI tools and technologies in use include Cursor, Claude Code, Python AI and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas and numpy, PyTorch, and LLMs and foundation models on Bedrock, Vertex AI or similar platforms.
