Description

The company is building Atelix, an AI operating system for interior designers and architects. Studios use it to manage projects, including specifications, procurement, suppliers, client approvals, invoicing and project financials. An AI assistant flags what needs attention.

The product is live with paying studios, and more studios are starting trials. The company is backed by experienced tech investors. It is a small team, and you would work directly with the founder, a former senior leader at Salesforce, and the lead developer.

Responsibilities

  • Take features from design through to production on a stack of TypeScript, Node.js, React and PostgreSQL hosted on Google Cloud.
  • Build integrations that studios depend on: Xero, Outlook, Gmail and Stripe.
  • Build AI features that do useful work while keeping the designer in control, such as reading supplier emails, drafting messages and answering questions about projects.
  • Speak with designers directly, learn how their studios operate, and turn what you learn into product decisions.
  • Use AI coding tools daily to ship quickly without sacrificing quality.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software development, including building and running production SaaS.
  • Strong Node.js and PostgreSQL skills, with the ability to design data models and APIs, not only front-end work.
  • Solid React and TypeScript skills.
  • Experience taking something end to end with little supervision, ideally a product built from zero or as the principal engineer.
  • Ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical people.
  • Experience with accounting or invoicing software, Xero, Stripe or email integrations.
  • Experience running LLM APIs in production.
  • An interest in design, architecture or interiors.
  • Based in Europe and working UK or CET hours.

Conditions

Full-time, long-term contractor role. You invoice the company monthly.

Remote, working from Europe with UK or CET hours.

Benefits

  • Real ownership: you will help shape the product and the engineering from an early stage.
  • Equity in a growing company.
  • Remote and flexible working in a small team, with direct impact on the customers you speak to.
