Contract Senior Full Stack Developer – Java 21 / React / AWS

The company is looking for a senior full stack developer to build a new Forms capability.

Responsibilities

• You will build the Forms capability as a Java 21 and Spring Boot 3 backend service and a React, Vite and TanStack frontend portal.
• You will deploy both parts as containers on AWS EKS.
• You will reuse existing platform services for users, projects, project assignments, document storage with S3, Cognito authentication and SES email.
• You will integrate with those services through REST APIs and JWT.
• You will hard-code forms for each use case rather than generating them dynamically from configuration.
• You will create one immutable submission snapshot per reporting period, with no version history.
• You will update project totals only once a submission is approved, using a single transactional update.
• You will maintain one common codebase that does not depend on any particular scheme, and apply lightweight configuration for each deployment.
• You will keep production deployments separated as required. Lower environments may support multiple configurations.

Requirements

• You must be based in the UK.
• You must be eligible to obtain BPSS clearance.

Conditions

This is a contract of 1 month, with an option to extend by 1 month.

The role requires you to be UK-based.
