Responsibilities
Build, test, deploy, and run developer-facing tools such as the developer portal, documentation tooling, SDK improvements, quickstarts, code samples, and integration templates.
Support partner integrations by researching APIs, building well-scoped components, checking integration flows, and writing technical documentation and test plans.
Work alongside senior engineers in partner sessions, taking on bounded technical topics and follow-up tasks over time.
Turn recurring questions and friction into lasting fixes in docs, samples, SDKs, tooling, and product feedback.
Write maintainable code with suitable automated tests, logging, metrics, code reviews, and sound security practices.
Take part in design reviews, incident and debugging work, and retrospectives, and use what you learn to improve the developer experience.
Work with Engineering, Product, Partnerships and Sales, and Support, staying curious, dependable, and clear in communication.
Requirements
You are a thoughtful engineer who wants developers to succeed and enjoys building products that are clear, reliable, and easy to use.
You learn from how real customers and partners use an API, not only from how it is designed to work.
You have solid engineering fundamentals and are growing your skills across web applications, APIs, and integration patterns.
You ask good questions, write down what you learn, and deliver complete work: code, tests, documentation, observability, and a clear way for others to use what you built.
You have 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent experience building and shipping production-quality software.
You have worked in one or more modern programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Ruby, or Python.
You know HTTP APIs and the basics of web applications, including authentication, structured data, error handling, and testing.
You have built, debugged, or used APIs in a professional, academic, open-source, or substantial personal project.
You communicate clearly in writing, document your work, and collaborate well on software.
You are curious about developer tools, integrations, and the people who use the software you build.
You have experience with a frontend framework, a backend service, an API client or SDK, developer documentation, or a sample application.
You are familiar with OAuth/OIDC, OpenAPI, webhooks, cloud infrastructure, containers, or observability tools.
You have worked in customer-facing, developer-facing, or cross-functional product roles.
You show good judgment by understanding the impact of changes, raising risks early, and owning what you commit to.
You are resourceful: you investigate carefully, use tools and documentation well, and ask for help when it unblocks you.
You communicate openly, welcome feedback, and treat colleagues inside and outside the company with respect.
You contribute ideas, share what you learn, and earn trust through reliable delivery.
You keep building your software engineering, API, testing, and developer experience skills.
You live the company's COGIS values (Camaraderie, Openness, Grit, Integrity, and Simplicity) in your products and relationships.
The work involves TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Ruby, AWS, API specifications, OAuth/OIDC, automated testing, and observability tooling, but you are not expected to know every one. Strong fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and care for the people who use the product matter more.
