Space RADAR Data Processing - Principal/Sr Principal Engineer Systems (AHT)

Description

The company's space systems group in Linthicum, Maryland is hiring a systems engineer to build out RADAR data processing algorithms for its space radar data processing element.

The work covers development, production and on-orbit space radar payload programs.

The team sits within eastern region systems engineering, integration and test and handles the full space design lifecycle on site, from sensors and payloads to complete spacecraft, for Class A through Class D missions.

The role can be filled at Principal or Senior Principal level, based on the qualifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and implement new RADAR data processing algorithms in the team's existing MATLAB model.
• Build algorithms for RADAR data processing and exploitation that support new RADAR modes and capabilities for space applications.
• Work as a member of the MATLAB radar processing team.

Requirements

• Principal Engineer: a BS in a STEM field plus 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with an MS.
• Senior Principal Engineer: a BS in a STEM field plus 8 years of relevant experience, or 6 years with an MS.
• Experience with RF signal processing, ideally for RADAR, though SIGINT, EW and COMMS are acceptable.
• Experience programming in MATLAB.
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance when you apply, current and within scope, and the ability to obtain and keep SCI approval and access.
• Preferred: experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Preferred: experience with RADAR signal processing in MATLAB.
• Preferred: experience integrating and testing RADAR modes.
• Preferred: a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Math.
• Preferred: active SCI access and approval.

Conditions

On-site work in a classified program area in Linthicum, Maryland.

No travel required.

A Top Secret clearance is required to start.

• Base pay is set by scope, responsibilities, and the candidate's experience, education, skills and market conditions within the published ranges: Primary Level $105,400.00 to $158,000.00; Secondary Level $131,100.00 to $196,700.00.
